In a career that has spanned 5 decades, Dan Kehde has written and produced more than 50 dramatic works for the stage as well as more than 20 musical productions in collaboration with composers Bob Whitmore, Roger Ames and, for nearly 25 years, the late Mark Scarpelli.  Nearly a dozen of his plays can be found in the catalogues of publisher Eldridge Plays and Musicals, as well as several books of monologues and short scenes for young actors.  Most of his more serious works are available on line at kehdeplaysandmonologues.com as well as numerous collections of monologues.

Most recently, Dan has been experimenting with launching new dramatic works for smaller venues from the stage at the Elk City Playhouse in Charleston. After working for over 20 years on the stage of the 1100 seat Capitol Center Theater, Dan has found a new appreciation for the intimacy and power of the small stage.
